Sizing & Fit

The final fit of your garments depends on the accuracy of the measurements you provide, so it's crucial to send the correct dimensions. Here are some general guidelines to help you take measurements with greater precision:

  1. Prepare Your Space: If possible, stand in front of a mirror so you can monitor the process, or ask someone for assistance. Stand straight and comfortably, with your arms hanging loosely at your sides. Tie your hair up, and avoid sucking in your stomach.

  2. Use the Right Tools: We recommend using a measuring tape with inch measurements. Hold the tape snugly against your body—not too tight, but not loose either—to ensure accurate measurements.

  3. Wear Similar Garments: If you're measuring for a saree blouse, it's best to wear a thin dress or a well-fitting saree blouse with a regular bra underneath while taking measurements. This will help ensure the final fit is just right.

  4. Consider Your Comfort Level: Some people prefer loose-fitting garments, while others like a tighter fit. Adjust the tape measure accordingly to reflect your comfort level. Refer to the measurement guide below to choose the size closest to your preferences.

By following these guidelines, your measurements will be accurate, resulting in a well-fitted outfit. If you have any questions or need assistance with the measurements, don't hesitate to call our customer care team at +1 (630) 407 7419 for support.

How To Take blouse Measurements

Blouses play a key role in styling a saree, chaniya choli, or lehenga. It is important to take accurate body measurements before purchasing a blouse online. Our blouse sizes are tailored based on bust measurements.

HOW TO TAKE PERFECT BLOUSE MEASUREMENT?

HOW TO TAKE MEASUREMENTS

Here is step by step method of taking measurement.

UPPER BUST

Wrap the measuring tape around your body, passing it exactly above your bust and close to your underarm, ensuring the tape is straight and level.

Raas

BUST

Wrap the measuring tape around your body, ensuring it passes over the fullest part of your bust, right at the centerline, without going over the top or under the breast.

Raas

UNDER BUST

Mark the spot where your blouse will end and measure your body circumference at that point. Wrap the measuring tape around your chest at this level, also known as the upper waist.

Raas

SHOULDER WIDTH

Measure from the back of your neck, across the top of your shoulders, from one edge to the other. Keep your body straight and do not bend or hunch your shoulders while taking the measurement.

Raas

ARMHOLE

Measure the circumference around the shoulder edge, with the tape passing through the underarm at that level.

Raas

SLEEVES AROUND

Measure the circumference of your arm at the level where you want your sleeves to end (cap, short, elbow length, 3/4 length, or long).

Raas

DIFFERENT SLEEVES LENGTH

Raas

BLOUSE LENGTH

Measure from the middle of the top of your shoulder to the point where you want your blouse or choli to end. This is typically about 1-3 inches below the lower edge of your bust, usually around 14-15 inches.

 Raas

Apex Point

Measure from the middle of the shoulder top (or where the neck width ends) to the nipple of the breast.

Neck Front

This measurement refers to the depth of the neckline on the front of your blouse or choli. Measure from the middle of the top of your shoulder (or where the neck width ends) to the center point on the front of your chest, diagonally. The depth usually ranges from 7" to 9". The design of the blouse will largely determine this measurement (e.g., high neck, boat neck, Chinese collar may require different measurements).

Neck Back

This measurement refers to the depth of the neckline on the back of your blouse or choli. Measure from the middle of the top of your shoulder (or where the neck width ends) to the center point on the back of your chest, diagonally. The depth usually ranges from 7" to 12". This measurement is largely defined by the design of the blouse. For high necks, boat necks, chinese collars, and similar designs, you will need to measure the neck circumference. For deep necks, backless designs, sheer backs, window blouses, and those with string necklines, this measurement will differ.
(Note: This measurement is not needed for custom blouses that are already stitched, as alterations are usually not possible.)

Lehengas

The waist of our lehengas is fully adjustable with drawstrings on the sides. The waist measurements provided are approximate garment measurements and may vary by 2-3 inches depending on the styling of the outfit.

Please provide your actual body measurements; avoid adjusting them to be tighter or looser. If you prefer a tighter or looser fit, you can specify this in the checkout notes when ordering online. Note that some styles, such as crop tops or long blouses with peplum, are designed to be worn with a looser fit.
