Founder Story

 

RAAS was founded in Chicago, Illinois, USA, by Shreya Patel in 2018.

After moving to the United States, Shreya saw that women wanted authentic Indian clothing — but faced long international shipping times, customs duties, and sizing issues.


Her mission was clear: build a U.S.-based brand that brings the beauty of Indian craftsmanship to women across America with fast domestic shipping and personalized customer service.


In 2020, her daughter Axi Patel joined the company, adding a modern design perspective and youthful creativity. Together, the mother-daughter duo launched Western & Evening Wear, merging Indian craftsmanship with American style.


To maintain exceptional quality and authenticity, RAAS owns its manufacturing unit in India — Tanisi Clothing Private Limited. Every garment is handcrafted under direct supervision to ensure precision, ethics, and excellence.
