The Founders
Shreya Patel, the visionary founder and creative director of Raas, embarked on her fashion journey at the age of 51, transforming a lifelong passion into a thriving business after relocating to the U.S. in 2016. Inspired by her own experiences, Shreya believes in the power of reinvention and the importance of pursuing one’s dreams. Her commitment to empowerment extends beyond fashion; she actively uplifts skilled artisans and women in her community by creating a brand that celebrates their artistry and hard work while championing ethical practices in the industry.
To achieve her vision, she enrolled in courses at Parsons School of Design and founded her own design house in 2018. In 2020, Axi Patel joined her mother on this transformative journey to pursue a shared mission of making high-quality, sustainable fashion accessible to all. Together, Shreya and Axi embody resilience and purpose, advocating for social sustainability and fostering a culture of collaboration and growth.
Their mission with Raas goes beyond creating beautiful clothing; it seeks to empower individuals and communities through fashion, demonstrating that style can be a powerful catalyst for change. They are dedicated to ensuring that every piece produced reflects their values of integrity, craftsmanship, and the belief that fashion can positively impact lives.

Any leftover fabric from our clothing production is thoughtfully repurposed into handbags and other accessories, allowing us to create stylish products while reducing our environmental footprint.
