What You Need Before Measuring
- A soft measuring tape
- Fitted clothing or shapewear
- A mirror or helper
- Your preferred footwear height
Step 1: Measure Bust
Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your bust while wearing a well-fitted bra. Keep the tape level and comfortably snug.
Step 2: Measure Waist
Measure around the natural waistline, which is typically the narrowest part of your torso. Keep the tape parallel to the floor.
Step 3: Measure Hip
Measure around the fullest part of your hips while standing naturally with your feet together.
Step 4: Measure Shoulder Width
Measure from one shoulder point to the other across the back. Stand straight and keep shoulders relaxed.
Step 5: Measure Gown Length
Measure from the top of your shoulder down to the desired hemline. Most gowns fall near the floor, depending on footwear.
